I was completely hooked to the story right from the start. I will admit it is the first book of Kindle Alexander’s books which I have read but it certainly will not be the last. I already plan on reading The Current Between Us, which has come highly recommended by some of my m/m booklover friends and I cannot wait.

As a lover of m/m books I do tend to jump up and down at the prospect of reading more gay romance books. This one was definitely worth it as I found myself engaged and gripped fully by the story, characters and style of writing. Being that fully engrossed in the lives of Colt and Jace enabled me as a reader to feel the roller coaster of emotions they must have felt going through the tests in their relationship together. I found myself wincing and screaming internally when things went bad and smiling and feeling giddy when things were going great.

Kindle Alexander has an easy and engaging writing style which I enjoyed very much. I personally am not one for flowery lovey dovey language and feel it is not necessary in order to be enticed into the characters world, which is shown perfectly in this book.

I will not lie to you, I LOVE a book which is steamy and sexy and Double Full hits you within the first few pages with a hot scene which had me hooked completely- YES call me shallow I don’t care! You like what you like and I like sex hahahahaha especially rough, wild and amazingly delicious sex!

Prejudice and an anti gay theme runs throughout the storyline. At times it is hard to read as you like to think (or I like to think) that this sort of deep routed hatred doesn’t exist, yet sadly it does. Kindle wrote the story in a way which spoke to me of the prejudices I see even in my own family regarding sexual orientation. Sadly my family would no doubt react the same way family members reacted in this story if I was to speak up about being attracted to people of the same sex. I think that is why this story engaged me so personally, as everybody has the right to equality and nobody has the right to prevent that or make others feel inadequate as a result. Sorry I will get off my equalities soap box now hahahahaha!  

My emotions towards Colt and Jace

COLT

There were times when I felt deep sympathy for Colt and then the next minute I wanted to shake him hard and tell him to open his eyes up and see how selfish he was being! Yet I could understand his reasons for doing what he does and so in the end my sympathy outweighed the frustration I felt.

Colt has a power hungry father who puts his own dreams and aspirations above Colt’s. He was certainly a character I instantly disliked and my opinion never changed throughout the whole story.

JACE

I found Jace to be the one putting out all the time, in an emotional way. Colt was very good at the outward gestures yet I personally didn’t think he showed it in a deeply emotional way, compared to Jace. I know some people may disagree with me and that’s fine as this is just my take on the situation as I read the story. Yet again even with Jace I found myself getting frustrated with his abundance of trust especially on one occasion where I didn’t feel Colt deserved it! No spoilers from me, sorry!

SECONDARY CHARACTERS

I loved Dr Knox he was so supportive towards Colt and Jace in their time of need. His son Mitch was so AMAZINGLY HOTTTT! I loved him. I just hope and pray he is the main character in the next book FULL DISCLOSURE ❤ ❤ which I will be dying to read when it is released 

TO CONCLUDE

I highly recommend it to all m/m readers if you have yet to read it. If you haven't yet read it WHY NOT????? Go buy it ASAP!! I hope you love it as much as I did and like I said earlier I have had other stories of Kindle Alexander’s recommended very highly to me so they are obviously as good as this one :)
