Battle-Tested Love Tour!

Welcome to our stop on the blog tour for Battle-Tested Love by Lynda Bailey!

We are really excited to be pimping this book.

I have to say that prior to reading Battle-Tested Love, I hadn't read anything by Lynda Bailey. And after finishing Battle-Tested Love, I deeply regret that and I can't wait to read everything she's written. I'm now a full fledged member of the Lynda Bailey Author Stalker Club

All she wanted was a little adventure…

Darcy Williams is desperate for some relief from her ho-hum life, but getting kidnapped by an outrageously handsome man isn’t at all what she had in mind. She needs to keep it together long enough to escape. Because escape is what she wants, right?

He’s a nice guy doing a bad thing for a really good reason…

Ben Gallagher loves his baby sister, Ana, more than anything. So, when she’s date raped by the mayor’s nephew, Ben has no problem sending said nephew to the ER. Now Ana’s gone missing and Ben will stop at nothing, nothing, to find his sister and ensure her safety—even if that means carjacking and kidnapping an innocent woman.

Things spiral from bad to worse…

When Ben is injured protecting Darcy from some thugs, he has to trust her if he’s going to get to Ana. And he has to ignore the passion Darcy stirs in him. Darcy learns Ben is actually a good man, one she’s starting to have feelings for. Can their fledging relationship stand the test of time —and the law?

This book was absolutely perfect. It's exactly what I needed and didn't know I wanted.

I've always been a big fan of romantic suspense and this had everything I love about them. Hot guy, dangerous situation, strong attraction they can't deny...it checked all the boxes.

And it started off with a bang. The scene in the alley...I had to laugh when Darcy thought Ben was a stripper at first. But, in her defense, they were outside a strip club.

I didn't read the first book of this series, so I'm not sure what carry over story there was, but this was definitely a stand-alone book. And I wholeheartedly thank the author for that. Don't get me wrong, I love book series, but I love it when the books are connected by a group of characters as opposed to a whole series about one couple.

I absolutely loved Ben. He was so protective of both his sister and Darcy. I couldn’t get enough of Ben and Dary’s scenes together. And Darcy just plain rocked. Even when she was scared of what was happening, she kept her head about her and kept trying to come up with a way out of the situation.

This book was unputdownable and pure awesomesauce. In the past, even with books I’ve loved, there’s always been at least one thing that would bug me…but there was nothing in this book. I have no complaints about this book. Lynda Bailey is an awesome talent. Her books should be must reads for everyone that loves romance.

I’ve been sitting here trying to write this review for a while, but honestly…I can’t find the words to express exactly how much I loved this book. All I can say is that I resented every moment I couldn’t sit and read this book. So as a final thought, this is a must read book. So don’t hesitate…go buy it now!

I’ve always loved stories.  Especially love stories.  Growing up in the Midwest, I’d make up stories to my favorite TV shows – usually westerns.
As I got older, the stories didn’t relent.  In fact, they only got stronger, the characters more insistent, until I had no choice but to put it all on paper.  It’s become an obsession for me.  One that I love.

When not sitting at my computer, I spend my time working as a substitute teacher and fitness instructor.  Guess you could say I’m an equal opportunity “persuader” of the young and, ahem, not so young.

  1. Ho. My. Goodness!! Lindsay, I don't know what to say about your review of BATTLE-TESTED LOVE, except I'm truly grateful I was sitting down when I read it - otherwise I would've fallen on my face. "Thank you" seems beyond paltry for your glowing words, but it's all I got, girlfriend. So, thank you, thank you, thank you from the bottom of my butt - it's bigger than my heart. ;)

    1. No thanks are necessary. I just spoke the truth about what I felt about your book. I don't think I've stopped blushing since I read your comment. It's I who should be thanking you. This was such an awesome book. I was almost disappointed that it ended just because I didn't want it to end. I can't wait to read the rest of your work. :)

Thank you so much for letting me read it. :)
