NOW LIVE: Hothead by Stella Rhys

Title: Hothead
An Irresistible Series Standalone
Author: Stella Rhys
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release Date: April 3, 2018

He's the hottest player in Major League Baseball, the most notorious playboy in all of Manhattan...

And my fake fiancé for the next three months.

I was drunk-dialing my ex the night I met him.

Six-three, sexy as sin and so incredibly rude I could smack the asshole smirk right off his face. Long story short, we got off to a bad start. But when the tabloids interpret our sparring as Drew Maddox "groveling" with a "mystery brunette," his agent presents us both a proposal:

Shacking up as a couple this summer.

It’s an alleged “win-win.” I need to prove to my ex that I'm fine. Drew needs to prove to his team that he's stable. Thanks to his on-field brawling and never-ending lady drama, Drew Maddox has suddenly found himself on the trade block - which means he needs a fast, easy way to show the team that he's settled down.

Hence this fiancĂ© thing.

Our fights are real, our kisses are fake, and thanks to the nonstop heat between us, I’m starting to mix up all my signs. But whether it’s real or fake, there’s one thing I do know:

I’m already addicted.

I have to admit that when I saw that this book was coming out on my birthday, I jumped at the chance to read it. Well, even if it hadn't come out on my birthday, I still would have read it because I love this author's work. She definitely didn't disappoint with this one. I don't know what her secret is with books, but she has the magic touch.

I was laughing from the first moment that Evie and Drew met. It was perfection. I loved their banter. Every time they were on the page together, they just came alive. I've seen some other people call this an enemy-to-lovers story, and I can kind of see where they're coming from, but I never considered Evie and Drew enemies. I loved their chemistry. I loved how Drew made no apologies for his attitude. He knew what he wanted and went after it. He and Evie were pretty evenly matched. As cool and perfect as Drew could be (and yes, he could be an asshole), Evie could be sweet and awkward all at the same time.

I felt bad for Drew. His family was awful. I just wanted to hug him. I'm pretty sure I say this about each guy, but Drew is definitely my favorite. I just wanted to pull him out of my kindle and keep him forever. He was layered and it took a while to really get to know all of him, to learn all about him...and even as my heart broke for him, I loved every minute of seeing all of him. I also loved how he knew how to read Evie and her moods.

So, it wouldn't be a Stella Rhys book without the steam, and let me just tell you, Evie and Drew had so much steam and chemistry that I'm surprised that my kindle survived and didn't melt.

Stella Rhys is super talented and knows how to knock books out of the park. I loved every moment of Drew & Evie's story and I can't wait for her next book!

Stella Rhys is an author of contemporary romance and can't help but write it hot, steamy and borderline filthy (just kidding, it's just flat-out filthy). Writing aside, she lives for coffee, the Knicks, the Yankees and cooking recipes way out of her league. She was born and raised in New York and now lives there with her husband and charmingly entitled fur babies.
