REVIEW: Permission to Come Aboard by Shayne McClendon

35706181Permission to Come Aboard by Shayne McClendon
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Book Description:

This book contains explicit language, explicit sexual situations, and an explicit M/M subplot. Please do not read this book if these things offend you.

When the Harding twins book a group of ex-military men on their deep-sea fishing charter, they never expect to find the two men in all the world willing to understand them, prepared to love them through their pasts.

Charter captain Dakota Harding has been damaged for most of her life. She refuses to let down her guard and is only close to her brothers as a result. When Gunner Cain steps on her boat with his friends he manages to pierce that tough outer shell and cause a ripple effect throughout her entire life.

Chaz Harding has made it his life's work to protect his siblings and after a violent lesson in the evil men can do when faced with someone different, he has withdrawn behind a wall of self-imposed isolation. Shawn Clay shows him that some risks are worth taking and some loves are worth fighting for...no matter how hard it can be.

REVIEW: Completely Wrecked by Shayne McClendon

35954767Completely Wrecked by Shayne McClendon
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Book Description:

The sun is brightest after the fiercest storm.

Elizabeth Clayton has been in love with Dylan Lange since they were in elementary school. Uncomfortable in her own skin and in possession of a kind and gentle heart, she never expects him to see her in a romantic light.

When she stumbles upon him, battered and unconscious, it starts a chain reaction that will span more than a decade of interactions between them filled with pain, devotion, love, and loss.

Take a journey with Lizzy and Dylan that will make you laugh, make you ugly cry, and (hopefully) encourage you to take a look around and appreciate the love and positivity in your own life.

The first survival romance novel by Always the Good Girl, Shayne McClendon.

Trigger warning - two of the characters in this novel survive extreme abuse. Their ordeal is not depicted in graphic detail nor is it considered a positive aspect of the story. However, it is crucial to the plot.

Wow. Such a great story. To me, this story felt so different then the same old nitty gritty sex filled MC books I keep running across. I've been on an MC kick for two years straight, looking for a gem in these rough stories. Let me tell you- this one finally meets everything I was looking for.

There was:
-Grit
-Violence
-Sexy times
-Club business
-Stupid club whore trying to cause problems
-Issues with other clubs
-A bad President
-A rough hero who tried to be more of a good man for the heroine but still was rough, gruff, full of sex, but still a good brother and protector.
-A heroine who learns to come into her own after her crazy previous life.
-Club brothers that I would love to know more about.
-Unfortunately- not what I want to read about, so I skipped as much as I could- there was spousal rape in the prologue.

Laura, aka: Shay, is in hiding from her seriously whacked out crazy husband. She takes years to do so, but she finally reaches out to her brother, Jeremy, for help.

Jeremy served in the military with Bowie- so he turns to him to be the help he needs for Shay.

Bowie has always had a thing for Shay, but he only knew her then as Laura and she was much younger. Jeremy used to talk about her on their deployments. He had grand dreams of hooking Shay to his star after he got out of the military, too bad she was already taken. Now he has a second chance to make her his. So, can he take this broken woman, who looks nothing like her old photos, and make her his old lady for once and all?

Bowie had a lot on his plate. The clubs president is making bad choices, placing him and the club in danger a lot with certain kinds of runs. He needs to take this guy out. He also has a club whore who claims to be his old lady, and now he has to hide and protect Shay. There's only so much one can handle. But handle it like a champ he does- eventually.

What I liked:
1. Story flow- quick & easy
2. I couldn't put this story down
3. A lot of the secondary characters
4. Tag
5. Some humor
6. This story read so different then the average biker book
7. So much going on but never once was it overwhelming- it just flowed really good together
8. The last few lines of the books literally gave me a chill up my whole body- what the hell!? Please hurry up with the next book for that moment!!!

This book left open story lines for: Rollo, Tag, Lock and Tin-Man. I seriously have to know more about the that surprise secret towards the end in regards to Tin-Man.

REVIEW: Fall into Forever by Beth Hyland

21408622Fall into Forever by Beth Hyland
My rating: 4.5 of 5 stars

Book Description:

A girl with a past she can't remember. A guy with a past he can't forget.

Ivy McAllister had it all. Perfect boyfriend. Perfect life. Perfect future. Or so they tell her. Because one night, on a dark country road, a fiery crash changed everything…and Ivy can’t remember what happened.

Now, two years later, at a new college far from home, she tries to regain control of her life, but her plans don’t include a tattooed, motorcycle-riding, indie music-obsessed guy with his own sorority girl fan club.

Jon Priestly is the hottest guy at Pacific State University. Just ask his groupies. But with a dark past he must keep hidden, he shuts himself off emotionally and trusts no one. That is…until he meets a broken girl with haunting green eyes and secrets of her own.

Ivy shouldn’t be attracted to Jon. They’re wrong for each other in every possible way. Yet as they spend time together, something about him—everything about him—feels so right.
But when threats from her past make her question what little she does remember, Ivy must decide whether to run again or trust the one person she can’t live without.

*** Due to mature situations, strong language and drug references, this is not intended for readers under 18. ***

Review: Undeniable by Madeline Sheehan

16109563Undeniable by Madeline Sheehan
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

To sum it up:

Eva Fox is the princess of the Silver Demons Motorcycle Club. Growing up with bikers in the club lifestyle is all that she knows. When she’s a young girl, Eva meets the reason for her existence. Deuce West is the sexy, biker bad-ass of the Hell’s Horsemen Motorcycle Club. Like Eva, he was born and raised in the club—but that’s where the similarities end. Their first meeting is innocent, but as Eva matures into a woman, their chance reunions evolve into a fit of lust and love. Fate continues to bring them together time and time again, but their twisted journey is filled with pain, betrayal, and bloodshed that could tear them apart. Eva sees in Deuce what he cannot see in himself—A man worthy of love—And Eva spends her lifetime proving to him that her undeniable love is the one thing he can’t live without.

This is Eva and Deuce’s story.

It wasn’t easy.
Nothing worth doing ever is.
And love is worth everything.
