Review: The Game Changer (The Perfect Game, #2) by J. Sterling

The Game Changer (The Perfect Game, #2)The Game Changer by J. Sterling
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

 Book Description:

Jack & Cassie's story continues in the follow up to the Best Selling book, The Perfect Game.

Thrust into the spotlight, Cassie must learn how to navigate the waters of this sometimes unforgiving and cruel world. It's a lifestyle that makes you question your happiness and sanity as the past is never truly far behind.

How do you stay together when the world's trying to tear you apart?

This book was interesting. I can't say that I loved it but I was definitely hooked while reading though.

The first 15-20% of the book deals with Jack's story while he and Cassie were apart in the previous book. While this was fine and very illuminating, I couldn't help but feel like it was all stuff that should have been in the previous book. But it was nice to get more info about what Jack went through with that witch...I mean Chrystle.

But after Jack got through with his story, I'll admit, I was seriously tempted to put the book down. Jack and Cassie were at a good point. They were happy. I just couldn't imagine what was left of their story. I didn't want to see them break up again, or go through unnecessary drama and angst just to drag the story out. But, I couldn't resist finding out what happened next.

And I thought it was a good story. There were a few pieces that had me pulling my hair out because I thought they were unnecessary but overall, it wasn't bad.

I'm very pleased with the end to Jack & Cassie's story. This is definitely worth reading.
