MORE THAN HER Blog Tour

We are really honored to be participating in the blog tour for Jay McLean's new book MORE THAN HER.

This book just sounded awesome and we weren't disappointed in the least!

For every action there is an equal or opposite reaction." For every choice you make there are rewards, or there are consequences. It was my choice to walk away the first time. And my choice to chase her the second. But sometimes you don't get a choice, and all you get are the consequences.” "Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength, while loving someone deeply gives you courage.” Unless that someone is Logan Matthews. Because loving him didn't give me the strength to walk away. It didn't give me the courage to fight for him. And when it was over, all it gave me was a broken heart.

Ok. Let's start with the elephant in the room...the ending. Nikki...what did you think of it?

I FUCKING HATED IT!

Yes I used the WHOLE F word!  no talking

Granted, the last book I read before this also gave me that kind of ending; a TBC that came completely out of the blue for me. I don't like being blindsided so I may  have taken some of those feeling out on More than Her  but either way, and its no secret, I LOVE my hea and since I didn't get that (TWICE IN A ROW) I'm a little pissed.

LOL. Well, I can't say I'm pleased but for once, I'm not the one ranting and raving. Yes, it had a TBC ending but at the same time, it was an ending. It just wasn't a good ending. No HEA. I wish I had known, but at the same time, at least it didn't end right in the middle. There was a clean break for the characters.

Well, I think there should be a law where there's a disclaimer letting the reader know there's a cliff or tbc! big grin  I like to be forewarned!

LOL. I have to say I agree with you. I think there should be warnings on all cliffhangers and TBC books! I really hate them. I'll admit, you got ahead of me and had me scared to finish this one. It wasn't nearly as bad as I feared it would be.

No it wasn't that bad. Now that I've calmed down blushing I can see that. But I was so upset because I was LOVING the book that  much that it hurt to not get that much anticipated hea.

LOL. I can understand that. I'm just glad that it wasn't as bad as it could have been. Let's move on to Logan...I loved him. As much as I liked Jake from the first book, I loved Logan more. He was funny and real and honest. He's definitely a great book boyfriend!

Well since I have yet to read the first book, I can't compare them that way. But, I did also really like Logan. I loved his thoughts and he was so funny even when he was being an asshole. I can say that as far as Jake goes, I did like him in this one and it made me want to read his book too! And since Jake was just a side character for me, I feel the need to mention that I can't freaking wait to read about Cam and Lucy! I LOVED  them! big grin

LOL. Don't get me wrong, I really liked Jake, but...Logan is more my type. Jake was...well...a guy you'll love. No doubt about it. But Logan was so enjoyable that  (how did you put it...) "when he was being an asshole" I never say him that way. Lol, I had no problems with how he acted. Well...there was that one time...at band camp... winking

Bahahahaha!!! winking  I was only saying what he himself said, the he "acted like an asshole" big grin  He was so not as bad an ass as some of the guys we've read before! I loved him too.

But seriously, the only time I got ticked at him was that time he didn't call Amanda back. He definitely deserved a Gibbs head slap and maybe red's foot in his @$$. As for Cam and Lucy. I freaking love them. They're my favorite couple EVER! I have to say that I'm scared for their book because I don't want anything to happen to them. I don't want them to go through any more crap than they've already been through in the past.

I agree, I'm hoping it just tells their story and doesn't change their ending!

Well. Unless their ending included him proposing. I'm all for that! big grin

ME TOO! day dreaming

Do we want to talk about Amanda?

I liked her, but there were a few moments where she kinda bothered me.

Really? Like what?

Well... I can't think now
blushing
I liked her! big grin

LOL. I really liked Amanda. She was spunky and gave as good as she got! She wasn't shy about putting Logan in his place and she cracked me up!

I concur! I loved how she also had a vulnerable side as well.

She did have a vulnerable side. That's why she rocked! But don't get me started on her dramatic past and Logan's dramatic pasts! They were awful and horrible and completely emotional!

I know! And so unexpected. I was a little shocked with some of the things that had happened to them.

It was! You were given a little hint with Logan but to get the actual details was heart breaking.

Yup!! And while Amanda's past was awful, I have to admit I was a little relieved it wasn't worse like I was expecting.

It was what I expected but I was expecting it to be violent and it wasn't. And for that I was thankful.

Same here!

So...anything else you want to touch on about the book?

Um.... I can't think of anything.

Well. I have to say that it's refreshing to NOT be the one ranting about a book for once.
winking

rolling on the floor I bet! winking

But...Don't get used to it!

rolling on the floor I won't dream about it! I hold grudges and am the creator of the Levels of Irritation!

So...final rating? I'm going with a solid 4.5...minus a half star for the end.

rolling eyes sighMinus the ending? I would give it a 5. But with the ending...I'd take a whole star...just sayin.
