When I started this book, I was immediately drawn into the friendship of Ashton and Jessica, and I was disappointed that you didn't see things really build off of that and they immediately jumped forward in time and into a "friends with benefits" thing. I felt a loss of seeing things build and grow between them, how he reacted to her dating and getting engaged to someone else....

But then I got into the story and the chemistry between Ashton and Jess eclipsed my issues and IT. WAS. AWESOME. I couldn't put the book down and I do didn't want it to end. It was a rather shirt book, and things definitely move quickly, but it was still a great read.

I haven't read anything by the author before, but I'll definitely read more by her in the future!
