Ok, I haven't yet read this entire series, just a couple of the books. With that being
said, this can be read as a stand alone, there's just a few other couples I didn't know
because I haven't read their books... yet.
I really enjoyed this book! It was funny, steamy, a little angsty and just all around
good! Tyler was definitely and alpha-hole, but after he fought his feelings for Reagan
and lost, he was all in. He had some anger issues and he probably needs some Anger
Management classes a'la Jack Nicholson buuuutt.... It was a good time lol. Reagan
was a character. She was an odd bird that had some pretty funny quirks. I liked the
two of them together. Reagan and Tyler started off on a pretty rocky.. or should I
say mossy... start. When she showed up to her dinner with friends, I couldn't wait
to see how she was going to react to the 'blind date' aka Tyler the jerk. It was hilarious!
They had instant chemistry, but also insta dislike. Watching them work that out was a
fun ride. Of course there was some ex drama on Reagan's side. Her ex was a psyco
and I was really hoping Tyler would forsake his sworn oath to serve and protect and
just shoot him in the face. But alas, he was a good guy / cop and did the right thing. ;)
I wish there'd been a little more info towards the end telling us what happened to
the psycho ex's corrupt dad, but oh well. Overall this was a very enjoyable read. Lots
of LLV goodness that we've all come to love and expect. I'm now very curious about
Rome and his book, especially since we didn't really get much except how he got into
the pickle he's currently in. *spoiler alert* I really hope his son makes a recovery!
