Lol with this
book, I think you totally get a pass! I sure as hell would have done the same
thing!
I'll admit,
with their first meeting, and how they were harassing her in the diner, I was
worried
I don't mind
jerks, but I didn't want him to be a bully to her, or allow his friends to
bully her and humiliate her
But I was more
than pleasantly surprised with how things went.
And I loved
how he just couldn't look away from her, and how he asked her to do laundry
with him! That was the sweetest thing ever. And that's when I knew he was
totally gone for her.

That was dicey for a minute. There are some lines that once crossed, you just
can't come back from!

And don't get
me wrong, there ARE books out there where he's a bully to her and the author
makes it work, but with how things started, I didn't want that here.
I concur. And
even though we didn't get his POV in that scene, I still gelt like I could feel
good genuine attraction to her she I loved it!
I'm completely
with you. And for a player, who's experienced with women, I loved how unsure he
was and how he bumbled asking her out. LAUNDRY. Of all the things he could have
said, or things he could have asked her to do, he asked her to do laundry.

I loved
Penelope too. I loved how even though she had a crush on "her perfect
guy" she couldn't keep Ryker off of her mind...and out of her notebook 😉
Right! She was
awesome! I loved how even though she was kinda shy and nerdy she stuck up for
herself and gave as good as she got! I loved her!!
One of the
best things about Ryker was that he didn't take the bet to sleep with Penelope.
He kept saying no. He went after her because he wanted it, it had nothing to do
with the bed. And since I'm on the subject...I'm just gonna go on record and
say I hated Archer and he didn't get what he deserved. He deserved much worse.

she found out for me. I didn't cringe too bad lol
I cringed when
Ryker was an idiot and went off on Archer, saying things he shouldn't have. I
knew right then that things were going to blow up. But since he didn't take the
bet, I had faith that things wouldn't be too bad
