TALKIN’ TRASH
BEAR BOTTOM MC Series – Book 2
BY Lani Lynn Vale
RELEASE DAY – OCT 2
What he does not have on his mind is the woman
that drives him crazy and makes him want to do stupid things, like throw
caution to the wind.
Nope, not Linc.
At least, that’s the lie he tells everyone.
In reality, every time Conleigh’s name is
mentioned, he squirms.
She’s everything that he wants, wrapped up in a
cute little package that is stamped ‘hands freakin’ off.’
She’s four years younger than him, in school to
be a doctor, and thinks football is stupid.
Even more, Linc and Conleigh get along like oil
and water.
There’s not a single second that they’re in each
other’s presence that they’re not at each other’s throats.
But all it takes is hearing that she’s in
trouble for Linc to drop every single thing—football and MC duties alike—and
head to her side.
A side that he’ll remain at until they either
kill each other, or finally give into the heat between them.
Either way you look at it, he’s well and truly
screwed.

Oy this book.
So I actually enjoyed the beginning. Granted, things moved a
little quickly as far as Conleigh and Jackson we’re concerned. Part of me
wishes we had gotten to see more of them over the years, and them falling for
each other. Because there were times that I felt like I had been dropped right
into the middle of their story. And wow I do remember Conway from her mother’s
book, I only vaguely recall her and Jackson meeting. I did like the flashbacks
of some scenes, but it wasn’t quite enough for me. So it took me longer than I
would’ve liked to really feel the chemistry between them.
For the most part, I did enjoy the book. Where it took a turn for
me was actually at 75%. And I knew something was going to happen, because I’m
familiar with this authors writing. But, it all felt so unnecessary after that.
I hate unnecessary drama, and stupid break ups. Things could’ve been resolved
without the couple separating and broken hearts if they had just talked. And
that is one of my biggest pet peeve’s. I understand people being angry, and
needing time to cool down. But to jump to conclusions, and not talk it out at all…
And then they spend months apart wishing they were together but angry and not
being willing to be the first to give in… That annoys me about anything else.
This being the second book of the series, I’m enjoying these
characters so far. I like the world. However, I was a little disappointed to
find out in this book that the Bear Bottom Guardians MC Was actually an
offshoot of the Dixie wardens. I wouldn’t have minded if they were just another
branch of the wardens, or even just allies of the wardens… But I was a little
disappointed that they made the break and change their names. And I’ll be
honest, is much is I liked the Dixie wardens and the rejects, trying to keep
all these family tree straight is becoming difficult.
Even though I did enjoy the first 75%, the last 25 just really
tanked it for me.
