Review: Betrayed Love by Brynne Asher

Betrayed Love
by Brynne Asher
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

An age-gap, billionaire romance where secrets and revenge are embraced in a dangerous tango…

It began with lies. So many lies.

I was born unwanted. In pain. Addicted. A crack baby.

I was given a second chance, but I want a third. A fresh start—out from under my parents’ control. I was on my way to building my new life when my neighbor crashed into it, wrecking all my plans.

Heir to his family fortune, Henry Ward III, returned to Texas with a plan of his own. With burdens as heavy as my own secrets, he needed a distraction.

And with a man like him—who could own the boardroom and my body with one gruff gaze from his intense dark eyes—I was down for a distraction too.

Little did we know, his burdens and my secrets are so heavily entwined, there’s no way to untangle them.

I’m a Montgomery.

He’s a Ward.

We might as well be the Capulets and Montagues. Our connection is that rife with drama. That forbidden.

That dangerous.

When the past repeats itself, a distraction is the last thing we need. We need a lifeline as much as we need each other. The vicious cycle has to stop.

It’s life and death.

Another favorite from Brynne Asher!

Brynne Asher is one of those authors that I always know I’ll have a good time reading her books. I don’t think there’s one I haven’t loved. Betrayed Love was just added to list of favorites!

Admittedly, I had to look back through Broken Halo to refresh my memory on Quinn and Trig’s relationship. It’s been a few years since I read it and was a little confused in the beginning. Regardless, once I started Quinn and Henry’s journey, I was hooked. I even fell asleep with my kindle hitting me in the face after I couldn’t stay awake any longer lol.

This was such an awesome book! I loved everything about it! Quinn and Henry were perfect for each other and even though it was fast, they fell into a rhythm that just worked. Nora was adorable and definitely added some sweet humor as only precious 4 year olds can. Seeing the Montgomery clan was also a great bonus. I remember reading Cam’s book and loving it and then when Jen and Ellie’s books came out I was an instant fan of this series and family. It was kinda like reuniting with long lost friends.

The dramas Quinn and Henry had to deal with were crappy and sucked, but I loved that even though they had to face challenges, it never came between them. I love a good plot, with lots of things happening, but I love it even more when our couple doesn’t split or have a drama between themselves. They faced each new challenge together as a team. It was sweet and spicy. I just loved it from start to finish. And the epilogue was also amazing. Getting to see how things were a few years down the road is always fun. Definitely recommend this book and series!
