Nothing! Why do you always assume I did something!? You’re the
one that’s always up to something! I’m the angel. Anyway, I really regret not
reading Changing Course before this reading this. Because this book was FREAKING AWESOME! And you just know
that if this was a billion stars worthy, that has to be out of this world!

You know, when I first signed us up to read this, I totally
expected a book full of drama and angst and emotion. And while that’s exactly
what we got, it was also so much more. There was humor and snark and STEAM! It
was everything I couldn’t have hoped for and more.
You ain't lyin! (oops my Southern twang is comin out) I was
actually a little weary about this at first, seeing as I knew going in that
there was gonna be the heart wrenching aspect from losing a loved one. I tend
to shy away from sad tales, as I really love HEA stories. I was blown away! Yes
I teared up quite a few times, but I also laughed my @$$ off throughout pretty
much this entire book!
OMG! Me too! I was running errands with a family member and
stayed in the car just to sneak some time with Caleb. I was so glad that I was
in a locked car because I was laughing my butt off at times. If anyone had been
with me, they would have thought I was crazy. This book should totally come
with a warning label saying “WARNING: May Cause You to Laugh Like an Idiot in
Public!”
LOL! It totally should! I freaking loved the banter between
Caleb and Emmy! And speaking of her, I'm not even ashamed to say, I totally
have a girl crush on her! I ♥ her! She was such an awesome chick. She was so understanding
with him and she was up front from the beginning that she wasn't trying to
replace Manda, it endeared me to her even more. But at the same time, she
didn't take the crap he dished to her when he was angry. And let's be honest,
Caleb was an Alpha male so he could throw some crap! Nope. My girl here just
dished it right back.
Oh, Caleb was totally alpha! But on him it worked. Even when he
was being alpha idiot, he never irritated me. But I also had plenty of time in
his head. But instead of irritating me, he made me swoon. As for Emmy…she was
awesome. And you’re totally right, she was extremely understanding and sweet
about Caleb’s past and Manda. She totally respected what he’d had and never
tried to replace that. Emmy is definitely someone that I could see myself being
friends with. Actually, she kind of reminded me of you.

I think I may shed a
happy tear! :D But yes, I agree about Caleb. I think when the author does an
alpha male as a somewhat jerk, it really helps when we get his pov. That way,
we don't hate him since we can really get in his head, like you said, and see
what he's feeling while he spouts mean shit.

EXACTLY! And he even told you (multiple times) that he couldn’t
control his mouth and he was a jerk. So once you saw through his mouth, it was
totally easy to love him.

jerk, he loved Emmy with everything he had. ♥ He
was the best.
I actually loved all the guys…and that brings me to a particular
event. How should we address this? Obviously, we don’t want to give it away.
Oh boy. I fear this will be difficult. You know how I love
spoilers... But, for once, I don't want to spoil a book! There's a twist. And I
didn't see it coming until it was right
there.
Exactly how I felt!
I thought it was tragic, and
heartbreaking, but at the same time I felt a little relieved. Jeez I better
stop... You know how little self-control I have!
LOL. Ok, I’ll change the subject…there was something else that
happened in the book involving Emmy, Caleb and a gummy bear. And I have to say
that there were a couple moments that I thought something bad was going to
happen involving the gummy bear. I was dreading that.
I know! That was also unexpected but so welcome! I had to laugh
out loud when Emmy said "gummy bear".
Oh! Me too! That was a total “awwww!” moment. I think it’s safe
to say that I’ve officially joined the Aly Martinez chapter of the Author
Stalker Club!

this book is definitely one people shouldn’t miss!
Definitely not! This author really has a way with words and how
she weaved such a heartbreaking, yet hilarious tale of lost love, then new love
was just awesomesauce! I have definitely found a new author that I will be
stalking!
This
is a book that should definitely not be missed!
